Longda Aluminium Plants to Expand Al Alloy Output

Chinese major secondary alloyed aluminium makers of Guangdong Longda Aluminium and Boading Longda Aluminium Industry, in which Japanese major deoxidizing agent maker of Nippon Kinzoku has interest, plan to expand the output capacity in 2011. Top official of Nippon Kinzoku said Guangdong Longda Aluminium is under negotiation with the buyers for potential melted alloy business. Boading Longda Aluminium Industry plans to purchase adjacent farm land to build material yard and new production line.

Their sales volume was record 45,000 tonnes for Guangdong Longda Aluminium and record 52,000 tonnes for and Boading Longda Aluminium Industry in 2010, which was 80% and 48% higher than 2009 level. They also posted record profit in 2010. They plan to make 50,000 tonnes for Guangdong Longda Aluminium and 62,000 tonnes for Boading Longda Aluminium Industry in 2011 to meet growing demand from Chinese automobile makers including transplants of Japanese automakers.

Guangdong Longda Aluminium eyes new production facility to start melted alloy business depending on the negotiation with the users. Boading Longda Aluminium Industry plans to expand the capacity after the purchase of the land.

The group’ third plant in China in Yantai is under construction to start the commercial operation in December. The plant with annual 50,000 tonnes of production capacity tries to meet growing demand for transplant of General Motors and parts makers.
