Nippon Steel Increases steel wire rod export price by US$ 250-300 to US$1,200-1,300 per tonne for high carbon wire rod for April-June shipment. The firm passes higher material cost to selling price when the demand is increasing in emerging countries.
Nippon Steel’s wire rod export price increased by US$ 50-80 per tonne for January-March shipment from the previous quarter. The firm sees the supply is very tight in and after April due to strong demand for automobile in Asian countries. The firm expects the export volume increase more than the level through March despite of uncertainty in political issues in Mideast.
