Showa Denko Aluminum Trading Aims 33% Sales Up by 2015

Showa Denko Aluminum Trading, a subsidiary of Showa Denko to sell rolled aluminium and processed products, aims to raise its annual net sales to 10 billion yen in 5 years, up by 33% from the present. The firm tries to strengthen its marketing power, improve services to customers, cultivate new fields, and increase sales of new products such as LED lightning modules.

The firm deepens relationship with customers by meeting customers’ demand for stable material supply and processing service. Meanwhile, the firm aims to increase sales of aluminium checkered plate and aluminium alloy plate for specialized vehicles and vessels.

The firm also tries to cultivate new market for its processed products including evaporator, LED lightning equipment for vegetable factory, aluminium cradle for solar panel, and aluminium lightning pole.

Showa Denko Aluminum Trading posted 7.5 billion yen net sales in 2010, of which 5 billion yen for aluminium rolled products such as plates and extrusions, and 2.5 billion yen for other processed products. The firm aims to increase its operating profit by 100 million yen per year to 640 million yen in 2015 through sales expansion and higher sales rate of processed products in cooperation with group companies.
