Toyota Motor Puts Ahead Car Production Recovery

Mr. Akio Toyota, president of Toyota Motor, revealed on Wednesday the firm puts ahead production recovery in Japan and at overseas by 1-2 months earlier than previously announced. The firm announced on April 22 the firm’s car production would be increased at domestic factories in July and at overseas factories in August. He said these factories will increase the production in an after June. Toyota Group’s production will be raised to 70% in June from present 50% compared with the normal level.

Component supply shortage is presently limited to about 30 items, decreased from 500 items in mid March and 150 items in late April. However, the firm maintains the forecast that all production lines will normalize in November-December 2011.
