Nippon Steel Trading Launches China Large Blanking Line

Nippon Steel Trading launched Chinese new large blanking line at its subsidiary, Shanghai Nippon Steel Trading Automotive Parts in April. The plant will get certification including ISO/TS series and eyes around 3,000 tonnes of output per month in fiscal 2012 ending March 2013.

Nippon Steel Trading established Shanghai Nippon Steel Trading Automotive Parts with US$ 6.7 million of capital in Jiading Industrial Zone of Shanghai, where Volkswagen and other many overseas automakers have plants. The new steel processing plant is located near Nippon Steel Trading’s coil center affiliate, Shanghai Jiari Precise Steel Sheet Products.

Shanghai Nippon Steel Trading Automotive Parts has large blanking line to process flat steel with 0.4-4.0 millimeters thick and 300-1,850 mm width. The plant will supply materials for air plane parts and construction machinery parts along with automotive parts.

Chinese automobile output increased to around 18.3 million units from about 13.8 million units in 2009. The output is expected to increase to more than 20 million units in 2011. Nippon Steel Trading tries to cultivate the largest automobile market through better processing service.
