Japan Largest Grating Maker Opens Thai Plant

Japan’s largest grating maker, Daikure announced on Wednesday the firm opened first overseas grating making subsidiary in Thailand. The subsidiary builds plant starting grating production in 2011 in order to meet growing grating demand for power plant, chemical plant and Japanese transplant in Thailand and Southeast Asian countries.

Daikure opened its wholly owned Thai subsidiary near Bangkok in early April. The subsidiary with 20 million baht of capital builds new plant with around 6,500 square meters of building space on around 21,300 square meters of land for around 600 million yen. Daikure sent 2 employees to the plant from Japan and secures 50 local employees. The plant targets 5,000 tonnes of annual sales including export to Southeast Asian countries.
