China Secondary Al Makers Increases Export for Southeast Asia

Chinese AD 12.1 grade secondary aluminium ingot export is increasing for Southeast Asia. Chinese makers and Japanese traders shift the shipment for Southeast Asia under slower demand in Japan after the major earthquake.

Chinese major secondary aluminium makers including Delta Aluminium Industry, Shanghai Sigma Metals and Ye Chiu Metal Recycling (China) increase AD 12.1 export for Southeast Asia.

Chinese makers’ offer price is CIF US$ 2,400-2,440 per tonne for AD12.1 for Japan, which decreased by around 4% or US$ 100 in a month. However, primary aluminium ingot price at London Metal Exchange decreased by slightly more than US$ 200 from the end of April. Aluminium scrap price remains high in Chinese makers’ main material source of USA under tight supply.
