The spot price in European market surveyed by Reuters, the international indicator, was US$ 750-850 per kg last week. The price was unchanged from the previous week. Meanwhile, another indicator suggested lower price at US$ 700. The actual trading price seems to be lowering to US$ 700-750.

Japanese rare metal importer analyzed the international market price seems to have declined due to profit taking selling by funds and indicated the market price is likely to lower more.

Some of Japanese indium consumers were facing difficulties in material procurement several months ago. The consumers presently seem to have secured materials successfully, according to Japanese rare metal trader source. Thus the consumers show weak appetite for indium procurement. The orders are expected to increase in a few months since the sales of smart phones maintain firm.
