Tahara works of Tokyo Steel Manufacturing enhances production of hot rolled cut sheet

Tokyo Steel Manufacturing’ Tahara Works Enhances Hot Rolled Cut Sheet Production, and keeps pace needs for good processing workability for raiser cut processing. The firm increases processing of hot rolled cut sheet by 5,000 tonnes to around 20,000 tonnes per month after the last half of fiscal2011, and expands variety of inventory products for the size for 6-12 millimeters.

The firm’s cut sheet has best suited behavior for raiser processing when the sheet has good adhesion with steel sheet and scale by component part control.

The works’ production is 40,000-50,000 tonnes per month, which is 10,000 tonnes for cut sheet, a few hundred tonnes for column, and other for hot rolled coil. The works will start hot run of pickling sheet line from August, and plans to increase production volume to 80,000 tonnes per month for the last of fiscal 2011.

The works plans to increase sale volume to near 10,000 tonnes per month for steel plate, cut sheet, H-beam and rebar.
