MISI to Increase Indonesia Steel Processing Capacity

Japanese major steel trading firm, Marubeni-Itochu Steel Inc. announced on Wednesday its subsidiary, United Steel Center Indonesia opens new factory adjacent to its Karawang plant in Jawa Barat. The subsidiary introduces leveller shearing line for 800 million yen to launch operation July of 2012 to meet growing demand mainly from Japanese car makers. The subsidiary also plans to add order for truck and construction machinery to automobile and motorcycle.

United Steel Center Indonesia introduces leveller shearing line to process steel with 12 millimeters thick and shearing machine at new plant with 5,000 square meters on 25,000 square meters site. The subsidiary plans to introduce tailor welded blank facilities at Karawang plant.

The Indonesian subsidiary with US$ 39 million capital funds, of which the firm controls 85.1% with 14.9% by Japanese steel trading firm, Metal One, posts US$ 82 million annual sales.
