Mitsubishi Hitachi Metals Machinery Accepts Orders of Cold rolling Mill from POSCO and Ternium

Mitsubishi Hitachi Metals Machinery, Japanese largest steel making equipment maker, accepted orders of cold rolling mills (PL-TCM) from POSCO, South Korean largest steel maker and Ternium Mexico, Mexican major steel sheet maker. The amount of order volume was record high at about 70 billion yen by Mitsubishi Hitachi Metals Machinery for April-June as quarter when some order delayed into fiscal 2011 ending March 2012 from fiscal 2010. The firm will increase order acceptance of order in the last half of fiscal 2011 when there are new projects.

The firm is the first supplier of hot and cold rolling mill in the world. POSCO installs cold rolling mill in new factory in India, and gave out order of cold rolling mill with the capacity at 1.9 million tonnes per year to Mitsubishi Hitachi Metals Machinery and Itochu Corporation, Japanese major business house, and contracted on July 15. POSCO will construct the factory on December 2013 and produces steel sheet for automobile and appliance. .

Ternium Mexico established joint hot dipped galvanizing line with Nippon Steel, and sent in an order of cold rolling mill, PL-TCM with production capacity at 1.5 million tonnes per year to Mitsubishi Hitachi Metals Machinery and Mitsubishi Corporation, Japanese major business house, in June, and installs it on August 2013. Mitsubishi Hitachi Metals Machinery innovated newest technology, 6 stage UC mill and jet type continuous pickling system. Ternium gave credit high technology of Mitsubishi Hitachi Metals Machinery more than European steel machinery.

Mitsubishi Hitachi Metals Machinery accepted order of hot rolling mill from Tata Steel, Indian largest steel maker, with Sojitz, Japanese major business house, and Hitachi, and contracted with Tata Steel on June 3.
