Lower Japan Cu Scrap Market Price

Japanese copper scrap market price decreased by 4-8 yen per kilogram around Osaka and by 4-7 yen around Tokyo when Japanese official copper ingot price decreased by 10,000 yen to 800,000 yen per tonne on Monday while the transaction is very thin. Domestic rolled copper makers also reduced the scrap purchase price by 4 yen per kg.

The scrap dealers are still cautious for immediate price trend. Japanese official copper price was expected to be more than 810,000 yen per tonne under higher offshore copper price despite of high yen rate.

The dealers reduced scrap purchase price by 6-8 yen per kg for copper scrap, by 4 yen for bras scrap and by 6-7 yen for bronze scrap around Osaka on Monday. The price range is 720-730 yen for No.1 copper wire scrap and 690-700 yen for new cutting copper scrap. The price is around 520 yen for new cutting brass scrap for large lot transaction and 475-490 yen for brass turning scrap. The price is around 523 yen for bronze casting scrap.

The dealers around Tokyo reduced the scrap purchase price by 7 yen per kg for copper scrap, by 4 yen for brass scrap and by 6-7 yen for bronze scrap. They pay 720-725 yen per kg for No.1 copper wire scrap and 695-700 yen for new cutting copper scrap. Their purchase price is 520-525 yen for new cutting brass scrap, 490-495 yen for brass turning scrap and 520-530 yen for bronze casting scrap.
