Flat Japan Steel Scrap Composite Price

Japan Ferrous Scrap Composite Prices, which are averaged market price in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka, were unchanged at 27,600 yen per tonne for H2 grade and 31,800 yen for new cutting press at the dealers’ purchase price including freight last week.

The dealers’ scrap purchase price was unchanged at around 29,000 yen per tonne for H2 grade around Tokyo last week. Local electric furnaces’ purchase price was unchanged at 34,500-35,500 yen for H2 grade.

The dealers’ scrap purchase price was unchanged at 26,300 yen per tonne for H2 grade around Nagoya last week. Local electric furnace steel makers’ purchase price was unchanged at 36,500-37,000 for H2 grade. The makers reduced the price to around 40,500 yen for new cutting press.

The dealers’ scrap purchase price was unchanged at around 27,500 yen per tonne for H2 grade around Osaka. Kishiwada Steel increased steel turning scrap purchase price by 500 yen on Saturday while Godo Steel’s Osaka plant reduced the price by 1,000 yen for new cutting press on the same day.
