Higher Automobile Demand Lifts Ahresty’s Die-Casting Output

Ahresty expects the domestic die-casting production in June reaches 90% of a year earlier level compare with 80% in May. With recovering order under recovering domestic automakers’ production, the firm increases the operation rate at plants in Kumamoto and Tochigi. The firm expects lower operation rate in summer time when the volume sounding from the users is around 80% level in July.

The firm increases the operation rate month by month while the operation rate in April was only 70% of a year earlier level. The firm increases the production volume when the major users of domestic automakers increase the operation rate under recovering parts supply from damage by the major earthquake.

Ahresty’s Tochigi plant gets 80% level of order for June compare with a year earlier level due to higher production by plants of Nissan Motor and Fuji Heavy Industries. Ahresty’s Kumamoto plant plans higher operation than a year earlier level to meet higher order from Toyota Motor’s plants around Nagoya and users around Osaka and Kyushu.

Ahresty expects the production would decrease in July when domestic automakers try to reduce the power consumption by 15% from a year earlier level. The demand of die-casting would recover in and after October when the automakers keep the low level activity through September.
