Ahresty to Acquire New Ground for Guangzhou Plant Expansion

Ahresty acquires a ground of 21,000 square meters adjacent to its subsidiary in Guangzhou Province of China, Guangzhou Ahresty Casting (GAC), within June. Ahresty plans to construct a new plant building on the ground and raise GAC’s output capacity by around 70% to follow the demand growth for die casting in China. Mr. Arata Takahashi, president of Ahresty, said the firm aims to increase GAC’s sales volume to 32,000 tonnes per year in 2012 from 19,000 tonnes in 2010.

GAC operates total 25 die casting machines fully in recent days. A newly introduced die casting machine will enter operation within this month and additional one installment is scheduled in this year.

Though Ahresty has no concrete plan of the new ground utilization schedule at GAC yet, one possibility is that GAC will be able to secure empty room for new die casting machine installment if a new plant building was constructed on the adjacent ground and warehousing or processing facilities were transferred to the new pbuilding.

On the other hand, Ahresty will start operation of Anhui plant, the second production base for die casting in China, in July 2011. Anhui plant will start with 5 die casting machines and enter full operation in or after CY2012. GAC will transfer die casting production to Anhui plant step by step, for the users in Chinese Provinces other than Guangzhou or the users in Japanese market. Ahresty aims to improve productivity of the group companies.
