Amagasaki Pipe to Open Third Thai Plant

Japanese copper tube processor, Amagasaki Pipe purchases 20,800 square meters of land for third plant construction in Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate of Chonburi, Thailand. The firm will conclude the land purchase contract in July. The firm secures new site when the firm operates existing 2 plants at full capacity without space for expansion. The firm secures the space to meet growing demand.

The land for third plant is around 50% larger than the firm’s first Thai plant in same industrial estate. The firm builds the new plant on the land depending on the demand condition.

Amagasaki Pipe’s 2 Thai plants process copper tube for refrigerant. The first plant increased the capacity by around 40% for around 200 million yen in 2011. The second plant in Rayong processes high-value added products through lead free process. The 2 plants enjoy full capacity operation due to growing air conditioner demand in Asia. Amagasaki Pipe also has a plant in Czech Republic.
