ENEOS Holdings, Inc. announced on November 8 that operating income in its Metals business for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024 (under International Financial Reporting Standards) is likely to be 85 billion yen, 5 billion yen lower than the forecast announced in May (a 24% increase from the previous year). The recovery in demand for semiconductors and smartphones has been delayed, and sales in the semiconductor materials business and the information and telecommunication materials business are expected to decline, respectively.
