　Mitsui & Co., Ltd. announced on July 5 that it has agreed to acquire all of the shares of STATS (UK, CEO Lee Howard), a company that manufactures equipment and provides technical services for the repair of oil and gas pipelines worldwide. The acquisition is scheduled to be completed this summer. In addition to expanding sales of STATS products, Mitsui will work to strengthen its value chain by anticipating synergies with STATS equipment and services, including its upstream oil and gas business, CCS (CO2 capture and storage), and hydrogen-related business.
