Japan Hot, Cold, Coated Steel Stock Rises by 1.9% to 4.31 Million Tons in May

Japanese inventory of hot, cold and coated steel increased by 1.9% (82,000 tons) from the previous month to 4.31 million tonnes held by the makers, distributors and coil centers at end of May. Steel sheets outputs for domestic in April-May by blast furnaces steel manufactures, decreased by around 15% from the previous term, but demand for main field including automobile and construction was not high and seasonal reason also contributed to rising inventories.
