3 Japan Rolled Copper Makers Post Lower Profit in April-June of F2011

Though 5 makers except for Furukawa Electric reported higher sales, but 3 Japanese major rolled copper makers posted lower operating profit, for April-June of fiscal 2014 started April from same period of fiscal 2013, according to financial results of major 6 makers. Demand situation kept active, but rising scrap price caused by poor scrap generation, put pressure on profit for especially brass rods and bars makers. Though Furukawa Electric metal segment and Nippon Shindo improved profit, they could not turn around.
