According to the trade statistics (flash) Ministry of Finance announced on 19th, imports of all steels in February increased by 49.7% from the previous year to 736,716 tons, it exceeded the previous year level for the 4th straight months. It decreased by 16.0% compared with 877,393 tons in January recorded high, but it exceeded 700,000 tons for the 4th straight months. Parties involved in mill feel a sense of caution that high level import volume is kept due to increasing capability in Korea mill even if cheaper yen and strong won.
