Steels Consumption of F2014 in Japan to Decrease by 2.6%

According to steels consumption of fiscal 2014 in Japan by Japan Iron and Steel Federation, ordinary steels is expected to decrease by 2.8% from the estimate of fiscal 2013 to around 49.18 million tons, and special steel decreases by 2% to around 12.54 million tons. Total of steel consumptions is expected to drop by 2.6% to 61.72 million tons. Iron and steel exports are estimated to keep fiscal 2013 level, and import keeps high level. Crude steel output of fiscal 2014 in Japan is expected to underrun fiscal 2013 level.
