Japan Iron and Steel Federation Achieves Self-action Plan which Cut Energy Consumptions

Japan Iron and Steel Federation announced on 13th to achieve self-action plan which cut energy consumptions of fiscal 2010 by 10% from fiscal 1990. Energy consumptions decreased by 10.7% and carbon dioxide(CO2) discharge amounts dropped by 10.5%. After fiscal 2013, the federation have decided to work independently until 2020 through the low carbon society action plan.
