Copper Scrap Exports Rises due to Lower Yen

According to export customs clearance record Ministry of Finance reported, exports of copper scrap for January-June 2013 increased by 5% from the previous year to 164,613 tons. It increased for the 3rd straight year, compared with the same term. Demand for China which is the largest export counterpart kept firmer tone on the background of lower yen. export unit price was 310 yen. It was 26% higher, and recorded high. It is on the background that copper price increased, the yen kept weakening and the grade of scrap for export advanced.
