Electric Copper Wire Shipments Drops by 3% in the First Half of 2013

Electric copper wire shipments of about 130 Japanese electric wire makers in the first half(January-June) of 2013 decreased by 2.9% from the previous year to 331831 tons on QE, Japanese Electric Wire & Cable Maker’s Association announced on 19th. Though items for construction and electric wire selling kept firmer tone, automobile and electric facility decreased compared with the previous year results. Because export also kept low level, whole shipments was underran the previous year.
