Copper-base Alloy Production Underruns 60,000 Tons for the 2nd Straight Months

According to Copper and copper-base alloy production quick estimation Japan Copper and Brass Association announced on 26th, total production decreased by 5.3% from the previous month to 56,690 tons. It underruned 60,000 tons for the 2nd straight months, it is lowest level in 36 years except the level soon after Lehman’s fall. Main items including copper strip, brass bar, copper tube is decreasing. Brass strip and bronze plate strip is dropping quite. But it for export shows signs of bottoming out.
