JFE Steel announced on 19th the firm accepted 325,000 tons orders of UOE Pipe DNV 450 Grade for line pipe with Marubeni-Itochu Steel, for Statoil which is a major oil company in Norway. These are used for Polarled Pipeline Project, Statoil develops in Norwegian Sea. Contract amount is 360 million US dollers. Award volume is record-high for JFE and Marubeni-Itochu Steel.
