Tesac Wirerope, a major steel rope maker of Kobe Steel Group, announced on 30th to establish a joint venture to manufacture wire rope for mainly elevator rope in Thailand. The firm starts to construct a factory aiming to start production in Spring of 2014. The firm will produce 400 tons per a month of elevator rope and get things off the ground over a period of 1-2 years.
