Copper Products Output of Mitsubishi Shindoh Remains at the Last Year Level, a Little Over 130,000 Tons

Anual production of Mitsubishi Shindoh, a largest copper and copper-base alloy products maker, in fiscal 2012 is likely to be a little over 130,000 tons, same level as the previous year. The firm expected it increased by around 10% at first, but production is below the plan because of weakened demand of copper strip and brass bar. Mitsubishi Shindoh estimates it is difficult for the production in the second half to exceed the first half level, because demand recovery in copper and copper-base alloy products is late.
