Furukawa Electric to Raise Group Operating Profit by 18 Billion Yen in 3 Years Ending FY 2015

Furukawa Electric announced a restructuring of business to improve group operating profit by 18 billion yen from 20 billion yen which is an estimate of fiscal 2012, in 3 years ending FY 2015. The firm plans to consolidate production structure to Japan, shift abroad, reallocate 600 coworkers in the group and shift company system to strategic business unit system. The firm aims to raise the level of revenue base drastically based on the premise that a decrease in Japanese market and the structure of cost up will be continuing from now.
