Outputs of Copper and Copper-base Alloy Products Underruns 400,000 Tons

Japan Copper and Brass Association announced on 23rd, outputs of copper and copper-base alloy products with total of April-September fiscal 2012 decreased by 7.2% from the previous year to 392,457 tons, it underruned 400,000 tons following the second half of fiscal 2011.
Almost of leading variety decreased. Copper strip is down by 3% to 117,798 tons, brass rods and bars are down by 9.6% to 89,955 tons, copper tube is down by 16% to 58,599 tons, and bronze sheets, plates and strips are down by 5.4% to 19,100 tons. Only brass strip increased by 1.6% to 52,920 tons.
