Japan Electric Copper Wire Shipments Increase by 0.5% in Fiscal 2016

Japanese Electric Wire & Cable Makers’ Association announced on 24th, Japan electric copper wire shipments estimates for fiscal 2016 by about 130 makers would be 702,000 tons, copper content, and average annual increase rate compared with fiscal 2011 results would be 0.5%. Shipments are estimated to increase because of earthquake disaster reconstruction, investments for regenerated energy and growth of electric automobile. On the other hand, negative impacts like high yen and economic slump in Europe is also estimated. Shipments estimates for fiscal 2012 are remained at 695,000 tons announced on March.
