Electric Copper Output Hit a Fresh 2 Years and 5 months High in May

Japan electric copper production hit a fresh 2 Years and 5 months high according to report on 29th by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

Electric copper output increased by 27.4% over last year to 133,247 tonnes, the highest level since 133,431 tonnes recorded in March 2010.

This result is affected by a rebound from decline resulting from the Great East Japan Earthquake and increasing production plan by Sumitomo Metal Mining.
