Kyoei Steel to Solidify 65,000 yen Rebar Selling Price for May

Kyoei Steel notified on Wednesday users of 65,000 yen per tonne concrete reinforcing steel bar price at all sites for May order. The Japan largest rebar maker announced the firm would increase the price by 3,000 yen to 65,000 yen for April order but the firm cannot fully increase the price for all users. The firm cautiously continues the production in line with the demand to support the price hike.

Kyoei Steel increased the price to 65,000 yen per tonne for not all users for April order due to slow demand while the firm could increase lower transaction price.

Ferrous scrap market price changes in small range but remains high level and the price could increase more. The electric power charge and other costs increase. The Osaka based electric furnace steel maker targets the price of 65,000 yen per tonne again for May order.
