Furukawa Electric’s Sales Force to Launch Indonesian Office

Furukawa Electric’s trading subsidiary, Furukawa Sangyo Kaisha plans to establish Indonesian trading firm as early as in fiscal 2012 started April. The firm tries to follow growing demand especially for automobile industry while the firm already has 16 bases in offshore countries including USA, China, South Korea and India.

The firm covers Indonesian market through business trip. Through the local company, the firm tries to follow growing demand for parts and materials for the group’s activity.

The firm sells products of Furukawa Electric and trades various products and raw materials for the group companies. The trading firm has domestic 13 branches and offices. The firm posted near 600 million yen of recurring profit with around 83 billion yen of sales in fiscal 2011, which was around 30% down for the profit and flat for the sales from fiscal 2010.The firm’s offshore sales are more than 10 billion yen based on the global network.
