Nara based steel dealer, Akitsu Steel launches stainless sales business in Thailand in the year. The firm started feasibility study in February through cooperation with local coil center, CCH. Akitsu Steel shifts to detailed study in April to conclude by September. The firm tries to supply stainless flat steel to local transplants of Japanese users and local users through local company.
The firm sells and processes flat products of carbon steel and stainless steel at the headquarters plant with 4 large slitters and 5 small slitters. The firm decided offshore business development when the firm expects the domestic demand keeps decreasing. The firm launched preliminary office in CCH’s headquarters in Bangkok for the study. Akitsu Steel eyes stainless sales to local users while CCH provides processed steel to Akitsu Steel. CCH has plant with 2 levelers and a slitter to process carbon steel products.
