Kakogawa Metal Industry Renews Slag Treatment Facility

Hyogo based recycler, Kakogawa Metal Industry renewed rod mill crasher and magnet separator along with the plant building at the headquarters plant. The firm expands the treatment capacity of slag from integrated steel makers. The firm starts operation of the new facility in mid-April.

The firm separates metal materials from slag to supply to steel makers. The firm has 3 separators with monthly 30,000 tonnes of treatment capacity. The firm also invests in lower dust and noise through new closed plant building for the treatment.

The firm started operation in 1931. The firm treats slag, metal ingot and wastes from steel plants while the firm processes titanium from Kobe Steel. The firm has 2 plants in Kakogawa and 1 plant in Takasago.
