Mitsui Kinzoku ACT to Integrate Domestic Plants in 2013

Mitsui Mining & Smelting announced on Tuesday the automotive parts making subsidiary, Mitsui Kinzoku ACT integrates 3 domestic plants to one plant in Fukuoka by the end of March 2013. The firm seeks more competitive management to meet Japanese automobile makers’ output expansion at offshore transplants under severe business condition.

Mitsui Kinzoku ACT closes plant in Yamanashi and Fukushima to meet users’ needs and growing offshore demand. The firm will transfer the production at the plants to other plants including offshore transplants.

Mitsui Kinzoku ACT builds research and development center in Yamanashi in October. The center seeks advanced technology information and trial for commercial operation.
