Japanese major nonferrous metal trader, Itochu Metals announced on Monday the firm acquires share in Lao Silicon, which is silicon metal making joint venture between A & C (Far East) Industrial in Hong Kong and local partner in Laos. Itochu Metals got distributorship for products of Lao Silicon.
Itochu Metals concluded a distributorship and partnership agreement with Chinese silicon metal maker, Zhaoping Group in August 2011. Itochu Metals has traded Chinese silicon metal mainly for Japan. The firm secures additional source in Laos through the new scheme to supply silicon metal from China and Laos in order to meet various specifications including metallurgical grade required by the buyers in Asia, Europe and USA.Japan Steel Scrap Composite Prices (Sangyo Press)
