YKK AP to Increase Al Sash Capacity in Shenzhen, Taiwan

YKK AP announced on Thursday around 90% aluminium sash expansion at Shenzhen and Taiwan plants for around 1.9 billion yen. The firm expands the output capacity from total around 11,300 tonnes to around 22,000 tonnes in fiscal 2012 starting April. The firm tries to meet growing demand for condominium construction in inland of China and Taiwan.

YKK Taiwan will increase aluminium sash production capacity by 50% to 2,000 tonnes per year for around 600 million yen in March. YKK AP (Shenzhen) will add one extruding machine to double the capacity to total 20,000 tonnes at 3 machines.

YKK AP targets offshore business expansion. The firm established local subsidiary in Malaysia in December. YKK AP will open office in Vietnam in March to launch feasibility study for new business in the country.
