JFE Steel’s Kurashiki Plate Mill to Restart in Late February

JFE Steel would restart plate rolling mill at Kurashiki area of West Japan works in late February earlier than original plan in early March. The works idled the mill on January 14 due to crack of the mill housing. The repair will complete earlier than expected. The firm expects the production loss is less than 200,000 tonnes during the repair compared with around 250,000 tonnes of original estimate. The firm reports the repair and production situation to the buyers.
