Ohtani Kakoh Prepares for China Stainless Process Plant

Kawasaki based stainless distributor, Ohtani Kakoh holds a month long training program from February 6 preparing for new processing base in Suzhou, China. The firm conducts the training at the headquarters and Nasu plant in Tochigi for the workers before the new plant starts operation in April.

Most of the workers are from former entity belonged to Metal One Corporation group. The firm renews plate cutting machines to start preliminary operation in March.

The firm invests US$ 15 million for the new Chinese plant. The firm adds 2 plasma machines, 7 band saws and 2 press machines at the plant with 3,000 square meters of floor space.

The plant starts stainless plate cutting operation in April with support by Metal One, JFE Steel and the local partner of Jiangsu Daming Metal Products. The plant provides processing service mainly for transplants of Japanese users.
