POSCO Opens East Japan Steel Processing Center

POSCO Japan held opening ceremony of the steel processing subsidiary, POSCO-JEPC on Friday. Toyohashi based steel processing company, POSCO-JNPC merged Kawasaki based processing company, POSCO-JYPC to cover eastern Japan and renamed into POSCO-JEPC on January 1. The new company seeks better management base and efficiency. The new company with annual 420,000 tonnes of processing capacity at the 3 plants improves the user service as automotive flat steel processing center.

POSCO’s executive vice president and top of carbon steel marketing Hwang Eun-Yeon attended the ceremony. He showed expectation the service center provides high quality service for automakers and automotive parts makers. Mr. Hwang celebrated the opening with POSCO Japan’s president Yu Seong.

POSCO-JEPC has plants in Toyohashi, Yokkaichi and Kawasaki. The firm provides steel processing and delivery service as Osaka based POSCO-JOPC and Fukuoka based POSCO-JKPC.
