Ahresty to Add 2 Die-casting Machines at Tochigi Plant

Tokyo based die-casting maker’s Tochigi plant of Ahresty Tochigi adds 2 die-casting machines. The firm completes the work in the week to build new plant building with 2,600 square meters of floor space. The firm adds 2 die-casting machines with 1,650 tonnes of pressure capacity in the year to start commercial operation in early 2012.

The group expands the output capacity when the firm launches new automotive parts in 2012. The group also improves the supply network when the firm integrates Hamamatsu and Toyohashi plants into one Tokai plant in March 2013.

Ahresty Tochigi already cooperates with Toyohashi and Hamamatsu plants in production sharing for better transport efficiency and customer service. The firm plans to reduce the output capacity of integrated Tokai plant to 60% of current 2 plants. The group could shift some of the production from Tokai plant to Ahresty Tochigi in and after March 2013.
