Hitachi Cable Reorganizes U.S. and European Subsidiaries

Hitachi Cable announced on Tuesday the firm reorganizes subsidiaries in Europe and the U.S.A. In the U.S.A., Hitachi Cable America (HCA), American headquarters headed in New York, will integrate its two 100% subsidiaries. In Europe, Hitachi Cable Europe (HCE), European headquarters headed in Berkshire, UK, will take all shares in Hitachi Cable’s UK subsidiary and succeed the all businesses. Hitachi Cable integrates its business in one country into one regional headquarters to promote regional business expansion by more effective operation and management resource utilization.

HCA will integrate Hitachi Cable Automotive Products USA, an automotive component manufacturing subsidiary headed in Indiana, and Hitachi Cable Manchester, a manufacturing subsidiary for electronic wires and optical fiber cables headed in New Hampshire, effective on April 1, 2012. HCE will take all shares in Hitachi Cable UK from Hitachi Cable effective on December 31, 2011 and succeed all businesses of Hitachi Cable UK. Hitachi Cable UK is an automotive component manufacturer headed in Gwent, which is presently Hitachi Cable’s wholly-owned subsidiary.

Hitachi Cable revealed its plan to reorganize U.S. and European subsidiaries in September 2011 along with its latest three-year management vision, named Renewal Plan BRIDGE.
