Nippon Shindo to Add Wire Drawing Machine at New Plant

Nippon Shindo adds continuous wire drawing machine at electronic material plan, which starts operation in spring 2012. The firm improves the material brass wire making process efficiency for tin reflow. The new plant has 3 lines for electronic material out of the total 4 lines. The firm decided around 40% expansion for the plant building for around 100 million yen for larger machine.

The firm has monthly 50 tonnes of production capacity for tin reflow brass wire mainly to serve connector for automotive devices. The firm transfers cold rolling process to new plant in Osaka. The firm transfers existing 3 tin reflow lines at old plant to new plant by spring 2012.

The new plant has 4 drawing machines including a transferred machine from old plant. The new 3 machines can make wire with 2 millimeters diameter or less. With the material wire, the plant makes shiner wire at the downstream process.

For the additional facilities, the firm starts works in the year to expand the plant building while the new plant building construction already finished for around 2,500 square meters building. The expansion space is around 1,000 square meters including additional raw materials yard and warehouse.
