Shin-Ei Kinzoku, Aichi based major metal scrap dealer, established a joint company in South Korea, namsed Shin-Ei Metal Korea (SMK), in cooperation with South Korean major metal scrap dealer. This is the first overseas base for Shin-Ei Kinzoku which started operation on October 10.

SMK locates the office and the yard in no.3 industrial estate, Daegu, recycling metal scrap. The capital fund is 500 million won, 71% invested by Shin-Ei Kinzoku and 29% by the partner. Shin-Ei Kinzoku succeeded a land and equipments from a major metal scrap dealer which currently closed down.

SMK’s site area is about 3,300 square meters with 3 heavy machines. SMK will install scrap shearing and pressing machines in future since SMK mainly gathers in-market metal scrap. Eight employees are working at SMK, involving two staffs from Shin-Ei Kinzoku. SMK aims to handle metal scrap at 5,000 tonnes per month.

Mr. Toyohisa Kaneko, president of Shin-Ei Kinzoku and SMK, said Sin-Ei Kinzoku eyes establishment of next overseas bases. Shin-Ei Kinzoku has ten scrap processing sites in Aichi, Gifu and Mie Prefectures and recycles ferrous, stainless and non-ferrous metal scraps.
