Nickel series cold rolled stainless steel sheet market price is weak around Osaka. The dealers’ shipment slows when the users reduce the purchase with expectation for the price decrease under lower raw material price mainly for nickel. The stainless market price is around 335,000 yen per tonne for SUS 304 grade sheet with 2 millimeters thick.
Nickel price decreased to less than US$ 8 per pound while the price had been US$ 9-10. The users reduce the stainless steel sheet purchase due to weak demand and the expectation for lower price. The stainless steel sheet demand has been week since May. The shipment is firm for automobile due to quick recovery of car output.
