Minebea to Open New Plan in Germany

Japanese major bearing maker, Minebea announced on Thursday the firm’s German high precision ball special ball bearing making subsidiary opens new plant adjacent to its headquarters plant in Leutkirch, Germany. The construction finishes in May 2012 and the plant launches the operation in August 2012. The subsidiary tries to increase the annual sales by around 20% until fiscal 2014 ending March in 2015 from currently around 4 billion yen.

The subsidiary expands the plant when Minebea tries to increase the overseas sales. The subsidiary decided to construct the plant adjacent to headquarters plan and improve production efficiency.

The Germany subsidiary has been produced high precision special ball bearing. Minebea acquired the firm in March 2009. The subsidiary supplies special bearing for medial equipment and aeronautic mainly in Europe.
