Shinko Leadmikk Tries New Products Rate to 40% of Sales

Kobe Steel’s lead frame maker, Shinko Leadmikk tries to increase new products including automotive connector and aluminium lead frame to 40% of sales by 2014 from current slightly less than 20%. The firm tries to increase new products sales when domestic lead frame demand is decreasing.

Shinko Leadmikk has launched the commercial production of lead frame for light emitting diode and the sales are increasing. The new products rate increased to slightly less than 20% from 9% in 2009.

The users implement the firm’s aluminium lead frame performance evaluation. The product is easy to be soldered near copper due to nickel coating. The firm also tries to launch the sales of automotive connector, which has 45-55% lower friction coefficient than normal connector due to indium or tin coating.
